Investment Professionals & MBA Candidates GTCR's investment professionals research and evaluate new investment opportunities, identify management partners, execute new deals and work with portfolio companies. Associate Hiring GTCR's associates take an active role in researching and evaluating new investment opportunities, identifying management partners, executing new deals, and working with portfolio companies. GTCR has an exceptional track record in sending associates to top business school programs including Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Chicago, and Kellogg. In recent years, a majority of our associates have been accepted to Harvard or Stanford.
GTCR annually recruits pre-MBA associate professionals. GTCR's associates typically have two to four years of investment banking, consulting, or private equity experience. They must demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical skills; have the ability to work independently; and possess good interpersonal skills. GTCR views the associate position as a key training ground for future partners. GTCR structures its associate program to develop not only deal execution skills, but also sourcing skills and investment judgment. There are currently five senior investment professionals who were former associates at GTCR. Associates are hired for a minimum of two years.
