Doug Bergeron has served as the CEO of VeriFone since HP divested the company in July of 2001. Prior to assuming his current role at VeriFone, Mr. Bergeron briefly served as a group president at Gores Technology Group (“Gores”). Prior to joining Gores, Mr. Bergeron was president and CEO of Geac Computer Corporation, Canada’s largest publicly traded software company. For the majority of his career, Mr. Bergeron worked at SunGard Data Systems (“SunGard”) (NYSE: SDS), a leading provider of financial software, transaction processing and disaster recovery services. During his tenure at SunGard, Mr. Bergeron held senior roles in various business units of SunGard, including group CEO of SunGard Brokerage Systems Group from 1998 to 1999.
