Ed Fiorentino, former CEO of Actient Pharmaceuticals, has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Fiorentino spent 22 years with Abbott Laboratories (“Abbott”), including his role as Executive Vice President of TAP Pharmaceutical, an Abbott joint venture with Takeda Pharmaceutical. His senior-level management experience at Abbott also includes roles as Senior Vice President and President of Abbott Diabetes Care from 2001-2006, building the Company’s global device business in this area through acquisitions and internal growth. Prior to managing the Diabetes Care business, Mr. Fiorentino served as Corporate Vice President of Pharmaceutical Commercial Operations where he was responsible for all U.S. sales, marketing and new product planning for six therapeutic franchises. During Mr. Fiorentino’s tenure at Abbott, he was involved in three acquisitions totaling approximately $15 billion, as well as ten major product transactions.
