Randy Michaels, CEO of Merlin Media, has over 30 years of experience in the media industry. Prior to joining Merlin Media, Mr. Michaels was a senior executive of Tribune Company from 2007 to 2010. He is also the former CEO of Jacor Communications (1992-1999), which he built from 24 stations to the third largest radio group in the country, and Clear Channel Communications (1999-2002), which purchased Jacor to become the largest owner of radio stations in the United States. He began his career as a radio engineer and personality and later moved into management at Taft Broadcasting and Seven Hills Communications, which he co-founded.
