GTCR’s healthcare team has built successful healthcare companies across all segments of the industry, including providers, payors and products. We have a well-established presence in the provider segment of the industry, with investments in companies that deliver high-quality patient outcomes in a cost-effective manner. Within the provider segment, GTCR has made investments in several areas, including acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient rehabilitation facilities and clinical laboratories.

We have also built successful healthcare companies in the payor segment of the industry, where we focus on companies that offer unique, high-quality services. These payor companies have typically targeted niche markets, such as Medicare Advantage, vision and dental managed care and disease management.

GTCR also has extensive experience investing in the products segment of the industry, where we focus on both pharmaceuticals and medical devices. In the pharmaceuticals segment, we have invested in both branded and niche generics companies, as well as in pharmaceutical services businesses. Within medical devices, our efforts are principally focused on mid-tech medical devices with proven efficacy and strong physician preference. With all our healthcare products investments, we take great pride in building companies that deliver clinically beneficial products to patients.
